Pepsi will redesign it’s red blue and white logomark into a series of smiles depending on the product: Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Pepsi Max. The white band in the middle of the mark will arc in varying smiles. The logotype will also be done in lowercase fonts. Arnell Group will be responsible for the redesign of the logo.
I think that the redesign is a great move in positioning the brand in the new millennium. The current trend in brand positioning is to capture emotions intertwined with people’s everyday lives. The Pepsi logo redesign of different smiles gives the consumer an impression that happiness comes with the brand.
Many known logos have been redesigned for the past few years. Pepsi has also experienced many logo redesigns since 1896.
